Mothers don’t die

My mother had elegant fairy-like hands. She did lacework at the speed of light. My mother was beautiful, very beautiful! My mother didn't like life, or most people. She was charming, witty, but neurotic. With time, she made her life incompatible with others' lives. She felt uneasy everywhere. She wanted everything and nothing. She Loved and hated at the same speed as she always knitted ...

Ama-me, sem me suportares! [Love me, without bearing me!]

Fátima Marinho

A poetry book is always a wild river that can, at any moment, burst its banks and drown what suffocates us. In that sense, it is also an unconscious liberation of immemorial archetypes. Surgery

Distempered is the cushioned temper of the heart
That I once gave you in my cupped hands.
I will never again carry my heart in my hands,
It is too fragile and tearable.
I am going to the repair shop over there,
I will come back when my heart beats again.
I will not let anyone touch it again.
I found that old box where I kept it
Until I gave it all to you, overflowing.
See what is left of it in this can
In which I will take it to the repair shop
So that it can beat anew.
